Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated bush pilot for seasonal operations on the Alaska Peninsula. This is a remote, hands-on flying position in challenging weather and terrain, supporting lodge-based fishing operations. The ideal candidate is self-driven, safety-focused, adaptable, and comfortable with hard work in rugged conditions.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Safely operate Cessna 180/185 and/or Piper Super Cub aircraft in remote, unimproved environments
Transport fishermen and women to and from remote beach and off-airport landing locations
Conduct off-airport and beach landings in variable weather conditions
Perform general aircraft maintenance and daily inspections
Clean aircraft interiors and exteriors as required
Fuel aircraft and manage fuel operations
Haul and handle fuel to and from the lodge as needed
Assist with general lodge and aviation-related tasks as required
Maintain a high standard of safety, professionalism, and teamwork at all times
Required Skills & Attributes
Strong bush flying skills with excellent stick-and-rudder ability
Comfortable operating in remote, austere environments
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong work ethic and willingness to perform physical labor
Team-oriented attitude with good communication skills
Not afraid to get hands dirty and take initiative
Sound aeronautical decision-making and risk management skills
Preferred Qualifications
Alaska bush flying experience
Experience with beach landings and off-airport operations
Tailwheel time in Cessna 180/185 and/or Super Cub
Mechanical aptitude or light maintenance experience
Ability to live and work in a remote setting for extended periods
Work Environment
Remote lodge-based operation
Physically demanding work in variable weather conditions
Long days during peak season
