After 20 years  as Executive Director of the Alaska Airmen, I will be stepping down on May 31st to spend more time with family and friends. I'm looking forward to investing  my energy in my six-year-old daughter, farming and flying!  I intend to ensure that one of the Airmen's most enduring projects, our own purpose-built office and meeting center on Lake Hood, will soon be completed.  We launched the new building campaign 9 years ago. Challenges have been funding and approval details.  However, thanks to all of you who have given so generously, we will have a place to meet and gather for many years to come. When the building is completed, we will officially thank every one of you for your support. There are stories to be told. Our membership, contributors, the public and decision makers will see a building built for general aviation and future generations of Alaska Airmen.

It is with great honor that I am handing over a large and effective organization that represents aviation in our great State.  The last 20 years has been like the flight of my life:  full of excitement, new plans, and changes with the weather.  The accomplishments as an organization have been many but it's really about the people I have met along the way.  I wish the organization success and further growth.
